Computer Technician Job Position
Job Description:
Computer Technician with established Computer company in business in the Boulder
area since 1999.
Part Time position. Troubleshooting and repair of PC computers working with all
versions of Microsoft Windows. Especially: Win 98, 2000, ME, XP, and PC
hardware. For onsite computer repair working with clients one on one at their
home or office in the cities of Boulder, Longmont and within Boulder County.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work as an independent contractor. Part Time position.
We will perform a criminal background check, past employer
and reference check, and overall background check.
Applicant will be responsible to fix any problem that can be had with a PC
computer.
Computers will need to be a big part of applicants life.
Applicant will provide onsite computer repair working with clients one on one at
their home or office in the cities of Boulder, Longmont, within Boulder County
and surrounding areas. Must be flexible with available hours for work, and
respond quickly to setting up appointments for work calls.
Applicant must have extensive expert knowledge of the Windows operating system,
PC hardware and troubleshooting techniques for repairing stand alone computers
and computers on a network. Must have skill in removing viruses, adware and
spyware. Should process advanced skill in troubleshooting and repairing PC
wireless and wired networks for high speed internet access, email, and file and
printer sharing. Must have very strong knowledge and experience in building PC
computers from scratch and with installing hardware, drivers, peripherals,
installing Windows and the relationship between hardware and software. Must know
how to fix computers that cannot boot into windows and get data off computers
that cannot boot into Windows. Must be able to Repair and fix computers that are
freezing, slow, not responding, blue screens, error messages, have blank
screens, have application programs that are not working, problems with printers,
internet, email, web sites, cannot connect to wireless or wired network, replace
parts, and any other problem that can ever be had with a computer.
Applicant must be extremely
reliable, dependable, responsible and trustworthy. Customer Satisfaction and
working well with the owner should be a top priority. (These are the most
important requirements of this job position.)
Must be able to work alone unaided and be able to solve advanced PC computer
problems and make decisions about computer hardware, software solutions alone.
Will need to handle transactions with clients. Must be professional, friendly
and courtesy and work well with customers and the owner.
Applicant must have a cell phone, a dependable car, and will be on call for most
of the work day, but can arrange their own work appointments times for the day.
Will also need a good up to date desktop and Laptop computer for work
diagnostics.
Duties include: Must be able to travel to customer's office or home within the
Boulder County area. Need to perform PC repair and troubleshooting, system crash
recovery, upgrades and installations, data recovery, virus, adware, spyware
removal and protection, network setup and repair, PC hardware and software
repair.
A+, MCP, MCSE Computer Certification is a plus and helpful. Apple Mac experience
and knowledge is a plus and helpful
